This course is designed to provide you with the fashion fundamentals and the basics you need to get out into the fashion industry as soon as possible. The Fast Track Fashion Design course has been designed for people who are looking at starting their own fashion label or interested in a career as a fashion designer.

By the end of this course, students will have completed a range of activities and projects as well as a mini range of designs.

The course is comprised of 10 lessons, to give you an overall understanding of what a career as a fashion designer involves.

This course will take you back to the beginning looking at the history of fashion and trends, you will work on design concepts from mood boards through to creating a mini range of your choice. Put your designs on paper with the topic fashion illustration where you will work on developing a template to use in your designs. You will choose fabrics to fit the range as well as looking into sourcing suppliers and or production.

Hands on assignments include fashion hand illustration, deconstruction and reconstruction of a garment and creating your first mini collection portfolio.

DURATION: On average students complete this course within 10 weeks.

As a 100% online or distance education student, you will have full access to our Online Learning Centre, which contains course material created by industry experts. These include: videos, written content, activities and assignments. Support is available throughout the duration of the course: phone, email or by zoom. HOW REMOTE ONLINE LEARNING WORK? Once you've enrolled, students receive access to a library of weekly instructional videos. All learning content is beautifully curated in magazine style topic PDF files which are filed topic by topic and week by week. All activities, tasks, projects and so on are completed or submitted in the portal. Simply upload a document and hit submit. In addition to the user friendly online platform you can contact any of our mentors/trainers 24/7 if you have a question or are interested in booking in for a support session over the phone or via zoom. What about practical tasks and learning? Throughout the year, our students are given opportunities to get hands on experience working with labels, brands, on photoshoots, or on events such as; Miss Universe, Eurovision or with Celebrity Stylists for the TV Week Logies. This is in addition to the practical tasks and projects that students complete during the course, meaning ACA students graduate work ready with a CV that shows experience!
