Learn how to set up and launch your fashion styling business.

This program is ideal for anyone who wants to launch or scale up a fashion styling business.

In this program you will receive guidance from our qualified trainers and mentors on how to:

- Explore the fashion stylist’s role by working with a range of clients for photo shoots, tv, and runway shows,

- Master your skills to establish your own style and signature aesthetic to become a professional stylists and consultant.
- Build a professional and innovative online fashion portfolio.

In addition to the fashion specific styling modules, this program focuses on business management topics that will provide you with the skills and knowledge to launch or develop a fashion styling business and achieve your desired goals.

You will be guided on how to set up and start a small fashion business, choosing your business structure, setting up templates and documents such as invoices and financial tracking, software and Insurance. You will also discover a range of business management planning tools and strategies, including how to develop a business plan for your existing or a new fashion business.

Upon completion you will feel confident to get your business off the ground for the best chance of success.

STYLING TOPICS

Build your online fashion portfolio. Students will be required to explore their skills as a head stylist consulting with a variety of clients to produce visual evidence for their own professional portfolios. (photoshoot 1) Students will be required to provide visual evidence showcasing their signature aesthetic and personal branding for their online portfolios. (photoshoot 2 & 3)

PRE REQUISITES

For entry into this course, you must be enrolled or have completed, Certificate, Advanced Certificate in Styling or the Styling and Design Certificate at the Academy of Fashion and Styling , a higher level Fashion certificate or qualification from any other provider or for those who are self taught stylists, pass a skills test.

HOW IT WORKS

As a 100% ONLINE or DISTANCE student, you will have full access to our Online Learning Centre, which contains course material created by industry experts. These include: videos, written content, activities and assignments. Support is available throughout the duration of the course: phone, email or by zoom. HOW DOES REMOTE ONLINE LEARNING WORK? Once you've enrolled, students receive access to a library of weekly instructional videos. All learning content is beautifully curated in magazine style topic PDF files which are filed topic by topic and week by week. All activities, tasks, projects and so on are completed or submitted in the portal. Simply upload a document and hit submit. In addition to the user friendly online platform you can contact any of our mentors/trainers 24/7 if you have a question or are interested in booking in for a support session over the phone or via zoom. What about practical tasks and learning? Throughout the year, our students are given opportunities to get hands on experience working with labels, brands, on photoshoots, or on events such as; Miss Universe, Eurovision or with Celebrity Stylists for the TV Week Logies. This is in addition to the practical tasks and projects that students complete during the course, meaning ACA students graduate work ready with a CV that shows experience!
