COURSE OVERVIEW

Personal stylists help clients create the most suitable image by choosing clothes and accessories that fit clients' body types and individual needs. They may also provide style advice and assist with hair, make-up, and even home decor.

By the completion. of this course you will have:

Knowledge of fashion trends, colour theory and fabrics & fibres.
Awareness of design and fashion history.
Understanding of different body shapes.
Knowledge of different body types and how to dress them in the most flattering way.

Fashion stylists work for individuals, fashion houses and clothing brands and their main responsibilities include providing fashion advice; choosing and co-ordinating outfits for models in photo shoots or actors in television and film; and choosing props and accessories and preparing them for shoots.

This course will cover the styling fundamentals, body shapes, colour and trends as well as understanding client behaviour and the client consultation process.

Your final project will consist of consulting with a client and completing a professional makeover using the skills, knowledge and documentation created throughout the course for your own Styling business.

DURATION: On average students complete this course within 16 weeks.

As a 100% ONLINE or DISTANCE student, you will have full access to our Online Learning Centre, which contains course material created by industry experts. These include: videos, written content, activities and assignments. Support is available throughout the duration of the course: phone, email or by zoom. HOW DOES REMOTE ONLINE LEARNING WORK? Once you've enrolled, students receive access to a library of weekly instructional videos. All learning content is beautifully curated in magazine style topic PDF files which are filed topic by topic and week by week. All activities, tasks, projects and so on are completed or submitted in the portal. Simply upload a document and hit submit. In addition to the user friendly online platform you can contact any of our mentors/trainers 24/7 if you have a question or are interested in booking in for a support session over the phone or via zoom. What about practical tasks and learning? Throughout the year, our students are given opportunities to get hands on experience working with labels, brands, on photoshoots, or on events such as; Miss Universe, Eurovision or with Celebrity Stylists for the TV Week Logies. This is in addition to the practical tasks and projects that students complete during the course, meaning ACA students graduate work ready with a CV that shows experience!
